Kick me when I’m down,
If it will give you a minutes’ joy.
Hit me where it hurts.
Entertain your friends at my expense.
It’s alright if it makes you happy.
I’ll understand.
On the inside I’m fighting back the anger.
I’m holding on to what keeps me sane.
my appearance that I don’t care.
But that’s just what it is.
An appearance.
